Haze is the phenomenon of visibility degradation caused by extinction effects related to physicochemical properties atmospheric particulate matter (APM). Atmosphere heterogeneous reactions can alter APM. Therefore, it important understand APM in order reveal cause haze. Herein, current situation, developmental trend, source, and composition pollution China are reviewed. Additionally, we introduce reaction characteristics key chemical processes common inorganic, organic, mixed pollutant gases on surface mineral particles. The aggregation, regulation, catalysis formation aerosols synergistic mechanism SO2, NO2, O3, VOCs surfaces different particles summarized. problems existing research also evaluated. This paper aims gain a deep understanding promoting secondary attempts provide theoretical support for effective haze control.
